turn artichokes upside down and trim off tips of leaves like you would peel a pineapple
leave in lemon juice water till ready to boil
when a leaf pulls away easily in the salted water
remove drain and serve with garlic butter.

for veal cut criss crosses and insert clove in each diamond. Roast with herbs garlic and onions
when ready uncover and cook last 15minutes with caramelized coating as below

heat oven to 450 place on pan as the top layer browns cut off, remove . next layer will pop and brown. continue till you have several thin layers
(about 5 min) build a loaf filling with your choice
cherry pie filling, custard , cream pudding etc
melted choc drizzled on top. or 10x sugar dissolved in lemon juice.
for dramatic effect warm brandy, pour over at last minute and light. (tip) warm alcohol in pot in pan of water avoid gas stoves!Highly flamable
