The Birthing a New Age Teachings by Kuan Yin, Boddhisatva of Compassion The millennium is the birthing of a new age. For this new age to be birthed, there will be the destruction of the old forms of thinking, living, values, attachments, and all the old negative things that have kept this earth in this current state of suffering. And for those who believe that there is no suffering on earth, they are living in a dream. So the millennium is in part the clearing up of the dream. It is the dissolution of illusion in order to allow the manifestation of the true reality. The true reality is a spiritual reality. It is entering into, what the Christ would call, "heaven on earth". For what does it mean to have "heaven on earth"? It means that the spiritual realm is able to manifest itself on this planet, and for that to happen, it would require a tremendous amount of transformation on the part of all sentient beings. If sentient beings are not willing to change, and if humans continue to live their lives in pursuit of only material values and deny their spiritual essence and being and not recognize that they are actually spiritual beings, then they will suffer. On the other hand, for those sentient beings that are willing to recognize and nurture their spiritual essence, then they will experience a happiness and bliss that they never thought was possible. For as heaven becomes manifested on earth, all which is not that of spirit will find survival to be difficult. This is in fact the challenge for all human beings in this period of transition. It is a challenge on the individual basis to be able to link up with his or her own spirituality in whatever form. We do not care about the religious form that you take, whether you are a Jew, a Buddhist, a Taoist, a Christian, a Moslem, it doesn't matter to us on the spirit realm. We, on the spirit realm, all work together. Even Jesus Christ is a brother of mine. So it is more important, not the form of your religious beliefs, but the substance of your practice. It is really requiring you to go into your own self, to tap that part of you called the inner self. That inner self is a spiritual self. And that spiritual self is linked to God in whichever form you can see God. That in part is what will occur in this transition into the millennium. For the birthing of a new age to occur, it will also first be accompanied by the destruction of the old age -- the destruction of the old structure of control. The destruction physically of various things that exist now on this planet in order to make way for the new energy to come down. There is much sorrow that actually exists in this planet. And yet in the hearts of humanity there is much searching. Many are looking for an answer that they cannot find in the current environment that they live in. They look for leadership that the current heads of government cannot provide. They handle external affairs but it is the internal affairs that need to be addressed. There are many lost souls. These are the souls that we must reach out to, the ones that are looking for an answer. The ones that realize that though they may be totally healthy and wealthy, spiritually they are lost, spiritually they are in poverty. This spiritual poverty we must address. How do we get rid of spiritual poverty? We must acknowledge that in fact many people who have material wealth and health are empty inside. There is no spiritual substance to their lives. They are not happy for they seek happiness in external things. Happiness exists internally, and it can only be accessed internally. So how do individuals improve themselves in a spiritual way? First, there needs to be an acknowledgement of the problem. The acknowledgement that they are in fact living in spiritual poverty even though they are in a material world. Yet to live truly abundantly, one must not only live in material abundance, but more importantly, to live in spiritual abundance. And that spiritual abundance cannot be found in the external world. It is not the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but it is the pot of gold that exists inside your heart. And it is through the development of compassion that it will be your first step to recognizing your own spirituality. When you are able to feel other people's suffering, you will then be able to understand your own suffering. And as you are able to identify the suffering of the masses, you will then deepen your own compassion, spiritual understanding and love to all sentient beings. For I, Quan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion come here to teach you the meaning of compassion, and this is the first key for your spiritual development. I encourage you to practice developing compassion in your heart in your religious and spiritual practice. Compassion and love drive all religions. It is the foundation of all spirituality. When you are able to tap into that spirituality and compassion and truly feel the universal love for others, the unconditional love that exist in the universe in the spirit, you will then be able to understand your spirituality. By understanding your spirituality, you will then be able to prepare yourself for the changes that will begin to occur. These changes will occur very rapidly, and you should prepare yourself for a miraculous transformation of your life into a new spiritual awakening and happiness.
