Hadens Job at Ethans House
BY Heather L. Olson

Strolling out if Ethan's House one day,
Haden stopped and looked along the way.
There were children as far as the eye could see,
Some of them looked up and said "Hey, come play with me!"

But Haden shook his golden head, and said,
"I gots things to do. I'll come back soon and then
I will play with you."
Ethan smiled his sun-bright smile,
Cause he knew what Haden was up to.
Haden smiled back at him and went merrily on his way.

Haden's glow spread along the street,
As he walked on through Heaven.
It touched the Spirits here and there,
Haden's Love was everywhere!!
It was his own special gift, given by Jesus himself,
That made Haden shine so bright.
Haden's Love lit up every place,
Shining through the darkest night.

The street he was walking soon gave way to clouds,
Bouncing from one to the other, Haden soon looked down.
With his angel wings to guide him,
He flew to one sweet spot.
The house that he had lived in,
Spent happy days and nights.

It was night here on Earth, as he made his Spirits way,
He slipped into his brother's room,
Where Cameron, sleeping lay.
An Angel's kiss on his forehead, he tucked him in tight.
Said, "I wuv you Cameron. Every day and night.
I watch over you every day to keep you safe,
And when I come at night,
My angel's kiss on your forehead,
Is to give you sweet dreams all night."

Haden stole from Cameron's room, to where his parent's slept,
With kisses and hugs for each of them,
Upon the bed he leapt.
Soft as a butterfly's wing were his
Kisses for Mama and Dad.
He knew they were sad everyday.
Cause they lost the son they had.

Haden smiled, he wished they knew how happy he was now.
It's true he missed his family,
But he was in Heaven now.
He better understood his brand new job and so,
Tears didn't blur his bright blue eyes so much anymore.

He whispered, "I miss you every day, but I know
We will be together again.
I'll watch over you every way I know how,
Through all the thick and thin.
There is no pain in Heaven, I play hard everyday,
I get the candy I love to eat, and toys and playgrounds too.
I'll be there waiting for you, when you cross over through the gate,
I'll be there, the one with the glow,
With my arms thrown out to welcome you home."

Haden made his way back up to Heaven,
Where Ethan welcomed him with a hug.
"All tucked in, safe and sound?"
"Yes," answered Haden with a grin.
"Great!! Let's go and play," Ethan said.
And so they did.
