Storage

One of the biggest problems for teen survivalists is storage.  You are starting to get all these supplies, but now you have no place to put them.  As teenagers, most have us just have our bedrooms as places that we can store the supplies we get.  I will try to help you maximize that storage space, and point out some things you might never have thought of.
The first, most important thing is to BE ORGANIZED!!  If you are not organized, you waste valuable storage space.  This is hard for me, as I am normally a very messy person.  I started to think that I was running out of storage space in my room, until I recently organized everything I had, and took advantage of a few other things I will cover later.  One of the best things you can do to stay organized is to put everything in one area, or on one shelf, in uniform packages(#10 cans, identical tupperware, identical ammo cans, etc).  Another thing I do is to use adhesive labels on each box, that tell what is in them.  Make sure you write in pen, as pencil will fade.  Also, put important things in front(water, food), and less critical things behind(tools, extra clothes, etc.).
The second thing you must remember is to be creative.  This applies both to finding storage locations and to containers.  There are many things that you can do to make the most of the storage space in your room.  One of the most obvious is to put stuff under your bed.  This works well, but I generally would put less important things under there as they are kind of hard to get(at least in my room.  One of the latest areas I've discovered in my room is the area above a drop ceiling.  A word of caution, though; without reinforcement, the boards used to support a drop ceiling willl not really support any weight.  These boards collapsing could cause your supplies to fall on your head, resulting in serious injury.  Also, you can get one of the shelving units for your closet.  These can't hold too much weight, but I use mine for storing extra sleeping bags.  I've also added one of the big metal utility shelf units to my room.  A few other places I have used to store things are old ammo crates, inside speaker cabinets, empty computer cases, and stacked milk crates.
