A Simple Pricing Calculator
|
|
This calculator is designed to compute the Add-on and Mark-up or Margin type retail pricing.
Just enter the cost of the item in the applicable percentage line and the add-on and
mark-up retail price will show up. If your profit percentage is not listed you may enter
it in any of the percentage boxes and it will compute correctly.
For those of you using the 2 or 3 times cost type of pricing, the Mark-up box will hold the Mark-up profit percentage and not the retail price. This is because the retail price will be a multiple of the of the cost price and it is best to know the equivalent Mark-up percentage rather than the retail value which would be the same as the add-on retail value. The Margin Retail box is designed to give you an eye-ball figue of your inventory cost if you are using the mark-up or margin type of pricing. Just enter the retail value of your inventory and the cost should show up in the Enter Cost box. |

The total cost of the item is automatically carried to the Pricing Calculator - if the Amount to be allocated equals the Total Cost of Item Grand Total. The compute button is usually needed to arrive at the retail values in the Pricing Calculator because the items may be at a different profit percentage. |
