Buyer Guidelines

We try and help our buyers out in any way we possibly can. We are here to answer questions and help you pick out the horse or foal that best suits your needs. So please email or give us a call if you have ANY questions!!!

Deposit:

A non-refundable 1/3 down deposit and a signed purchase agreement will hold the horse of your choice for up to one month. During this time you can make arrangements for shipping or pickup (we are happy to provide phone numbers of shippers and we do occasionally deliver to Northern/Central California and Oregon for a fee). Typically deposit amounts are subject to change depending on the price of the horse, so please be sure to inquire. We allow 10 days board free to allow for pickup, board will be charged on horses picked up after the 10 day period.  WE WILL NOT HOLD ANYTHING OR GUARANTEE A SALE WITHOUT THE DEPOSIT AND SIGNED PURCHASE AGREEMENT.

Deposit Example:

Purchase price is $4,500.00 To get the deposit amount divide by (3) three. The minimum required deposit amount is $1,500.00  Please Note: Under certain circumstances we may accept slightly lower deposits if you contact us.

Exception: Foals in Utero are reserved with a $600 conditionally refundable deposit. Please inquire for more info.

Payment Plans:

At this time we do not have a payment plan or financing program. Most people can get personal loans from their own local financial institutions if desired.

 We do occasionally offer payment plans on amounts under $600.00 to our local buyers and minimum payments are at least $100.00 per month.

Payments Accepted:

Pay me securely with any major credit card through PayPal!

We do accept credit cards for amounts up to $2,000.00 online. If you have an established paypal.com account we may accept slightly larger amounts, bank transfers, or e-checks. Please email us for more information on setting up a FREE paypal.com secure verified account for amounts over $2,000.00, bank transfers, or e-checks. (Please request an email invoice for all online payments)

We accept personal checks on deposits and final payments when the animal won't be leaving for at least 12 days. This allows time for your check to clear.

On deliveries or pickups where the buyer will be paying remaining fees and balances upon arrival/pickup at our ranch or upon delivery by us, we will only accept cashiers checks, cash, or money orders. 

If you choose to have your horse or foal shipped by an independent carrier all fees and balances must be paid in full before the animal will be released into their possession.

Extra Expenses to be AWARE of:

Purchase prices DO NOT include the following:

~Delivery/Shipping Expenses

~Coggins & Health Certificates for animals crossing state lines.

~Pre-Purchase Veterinary Exams

~Additional vaccinations other than what we state is included in the purchase price. (We usually include a standard 5 way vaccination and all broodmares are kept up to date on their "rhino" vaccinations. Under some circumstances the animal may have been vaccinated for West Nile Virus and/or Strangles. Additional vaccinations are at the buyers discretion.

We do not furnish halters for shipping or sale. They can be purchased from us for $25.00

An approximate price list for added expenses is included below:

Coggins & Health Certificates: $125.00 Rush, $50.00 Regular (subject to change)

Strangles Vaccination: $15.00

West Nile Virus Vaccination or Booster: $15.00

Additional/Booster 5 Way includes Tetanus: $15.00

We do not vaccinate for Potomac Fever OR Rabies in our area but we would be happy to get you a quote if they are needed.

Delivery Expenses by independent carriers are estimated at $0.50 a mile. Shipping Expenses should be expected to cost anywhere from $500-$2500 to the lower 48 states. Shipping to Hawaii is estimated at anywhere from $800-$1500 for shipping alone and horses are ONLY shipped from Bodega Bay, California. We do request box stalls be reserved for foals under 10 months with any carrier and for 14 months or under going to Hawaii.

We personally, may be able to deliver to some parts of Oregon and California depending on our schedule. Please inquire for expenses.

Pre-purchases veterinary exams: Usually Range from $180-$500, vet of your choice or ours! However, our young prospects are guaranteed 100% sound when they leave the ranch. Older horses are guaranteed either riding and/or breeding sound unless otherwise stated either verbally or in writing.
