November 1994

We had just opened our own Christian Bookstore in Belton, Texas. As I was sitting in the small quiet store I reflected back to my relationship with God and how that little Butterfly book helped change my miserable life to a victorious one. I decided to call the telephone operator to see if there was a listing for a Joan Wilson in Mission, Texas. I found her husbands name in the butterfly book and sure enough I had the phone number. I called Joan and told her about how her wonderful Butterfly book helped save my marriage and that we now had our own Christian Bookstore. She had sent out those books two years earlier to Christian Bookstore to try to market them herself. That is how my husband ended up with one. Since it was written by a woman he decided to bring it home for me. I wonder if he knew what changes God had in store by him doing that. He had plans of divorce, but God had different plans!!!

Joan was blessed by my victory story, and said she has received many stories about how her book helped God change many of His people into victorious children. She asked if she could send me some books for our store to do with as we please.

When the books arrived soon afterwards, I opened the case of books, sat on the floor and just cried! I was overtaken by all the wonderous ways of God and our Lord Jesus Christ. Books are so special to me, and this book has an even greater place in my heart. It teaches you how to listen to God and develope a closer relationship to Him. Actually it does not tell you How -- it shows you how God did this with Joan. It is a personal journal with God's wonderful truths.

We donated a book for each lady at the Angel House in Temple that Christmas, and always gave the book to people that God told us to. We never sold any of her books, because they were freely given to us, and they were a gift from God. Joan continued to provide us with books to give away during the 18 months our store remained open. She said her garage was full of them. Her book was poorly marketed by a publisher that she sold the rights to. But the books she gave us were published by her with her generious husbands finances. They obeyed God. It was a financial loss to them, but a tremendous gain for God and His kingdom. She still receives victory reports of God's children being set free by reading her book.

Joan use to send us her monthly newsletter, but a few months back she wrote saying God has finally directed her to stop the newsletter. She now has an internet site at http://gvtc.com/~jwskyman/ Click here Poems by Joan Wilson. She probley still has many books stored in her garage, that she would love to send out. So if you are interested please email me, and I will write to her.

My next part of this book is titled "How To Pray".
