| Meeting the Needs of Children with ADD/ADHD | |||||||||||||||||||||
| (This meeting used the material (book and video) from the NY State Office of CHildren and Family Services along with SUNY Early Childhood Education and Training Program.) | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Agenda of the meeting : 1.) Myth & Fact: What is ADD/ADHD During this segment and afterwards, we brainstormed as to the challenges and rewards of dealing with children with ADD/ADHD. We had the honor of having a parent with a child of this nature present for the evening and helped us to see both sides. |

| 5.) Questions and Answers | |||||||||||||||||||||
| We got lots of good reviews from this training. Many of the people that attended said they learned quite a bit from this training. I would like to thank the Child Care Council for all their help and support and would also like to thank Cathy Dishaw for presenting the training for us. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| There were also several complaints about talking during the presentation. I would like to take this opportunity to say please, please, please, respect the fact that someone would like to hear the material being presented! Excessive talking during training material (especially when there is credit being given) will not be tolerated. In order to continue offering credited classes in the Massena area we need to make sure we do not abuse the priviledge! Thank you | |||||||||||||||||||||
