Training through the Association:

Through the year the Association puts on a series of support meetings as well as credited classes that parents, providers, and caregivers can use towards training.  To Association members the cost of these classes are free of charge and they have no limit to how many they can take.  Non-members will be charged a fee of $10.00 in order to receive a training certificate that can be used as proof of training hours.  Payment will be made at the time of the training and a certificate will be issued only after payment has been made. 

I tried to touch on all subjects during this meeting, alot of information to give out in only a short period of time!  We talked about membership, Some of the rules associated with membership.  Where will the money go from memberships?  We discussed ways to get information to the members via website, newsletters and reps.  This meeting was the first to touch on the idea that we need YOUR ideas!  We want this to more of a friendship between providers rather than an organization that just provides services.  We need to know what you want provided in order to acheive that goal.  We have the ideas, we have the contacts in some cases, now we just need you to help us make this happen.  The more providers that put their heads together, the more achievments that can follow.  Thank you to all that attended!
