CHILDCARE ASSISTENCE PROGRAMS

Massena Meeting: Chris Lazore from One Stop Career Shop came and spoke about the new paperwork for childcare assistence programs. She handed out different forms and criteria about the programs. She explained that workfare is now paying every two weeks instead of every month which is positive for providers with workfare clients. She also explained that providers do not get paid for a slot and will not be paid when they are not there unless you have the parent pay the difference. NOTE: you cannot charge extra if you are on contract with DSS!!! This training counted for 2 hours in the Program Development area of renewel.
