ประสบการณ์เล่าสู่กันฟัง...อุทยานแห่งชาติออบหลวง

ลิลิน(lilinson@yahoo.com)5 กันยายน 2542 เพื่อนที่จากไป เพื่อนของเราคนหนึ่ง ที่ว่าเขาคือผู้ชายพายเรือ รักสายน้ำและชีวิตผจญภัย เพิ่งจากพวกเราไปด้วยสายน้ำที่พาเขาจากไปตลอดกาลที่ออบหลวง เชียงใหม่ ทั้งที่เหตุการณ์ไม่น่าเกิดขึ้นแต่ด้วยความประมาท บ้าระห่ำของพวกที่เรียกตัวเองว่านักท่องเที่ยว แต่ไม่รู้จักกติกาการท่องเที่ยว ไม่เชื่อฟังคำห้ามปรามใดๆของผู้ชำนาญ ถือว่าตนเป็นเจ้าน้ำเงิน ไม่คำนึงถึงความเสียหายแก่ชีวิตคนอื่นๆ และว่าตนนั้นมีอำนาจราชศักดิ์สามารถทำอะไรๆที่ฝืนกฏระเบียบที่มีเพื่อความปลอดภัยของหมู่ชน เขาเหล่านั้นทำให้เพื่อนของเราจีรายุทธ เลิศเจริญลาภ นายท้ายเรือที่รักการพายเรือผจญภัยต้องจากไปอย่างไม่มีอะไรทดแทนได้ เรื่องที่เล่าให้ฟังไม่ใช่แค่ระลึกถึงแต่เพื่อเตือนสติ กระตุ้นสำนึกให้ผู้คนที่ท่องเที่ยวทั้งหลายได้โปรดสำนึกถึงกฏระเบียบต่างๆ และโปรดปฏิบัติตามเพื่อไม่ให้เหตุการณ์นี้ เยี่ยงนี้เกิดขึ้นอีก สำหรับเพื่อผู้จากไป ลิลิน Pan (israngkura@yahoo.com)27 กันยายน 2542 re: เพื่อนที่จากไป First, I would like to express my sincere sympathy to Khun Jirayuth's family and friends. I was on the raft that Yuth was piloting. I was swept away in the rapids. I almost died. I too lost a friend. It was an unfortunate accident that could have been prevented. The newspaper reported that it was an act of recklessness based on the statement of the tour guide who was afraid to lose his tour guide license. He told a version of the event that was a pure fabrication (a lie). He did not forbid us from getting on the boat, which he should have done if he thought it was too risky. In any case, we were supposed to stop before reaching the Obluang rapids to make preparations. We didn't. I don't know why we didn't. We followed Yuth instructions strictly. Perhaps, Yuth underestimated the rapids. Perhaps, we did not have enough experience in handling the rapids. Whatever the reason, it was an accident. Sadly, there was no safety precaution to rescue the people that fell in the rapids. Of the eight of us that fell in the rapids, two are no longer here with us. There were many to blame. I blame Eco-Life, the tour company that was so eager to please the adventurers to think about safety. I blame the Forestry Department for allowing (officially or otherwise) people to go whitewater rafting in its National Park with little safety precautions. The Forestry staff at the Obluang National Park had little or no search and rescue training and they did not have any search and rescue equipment, not even a string of rope. I blame the Tourist Authority of Thailand for promoting adventure and thrill seeking tours with little focus on safety. I've done my share of adventure - whitewater rafting, rock climbing, spend days hiking in the wild, SCUBA diving, bungee jumping, etc. Safety in these activities were always the utmost important. In Obluang, it was apparent that it was not. Sadly, two paid the ultimate price. I hope that this be a lesson for those who plan to seek adventurous activities. Do not trust the tours. The Authorities do not want and nearly always deflect the responsibility. In Thailand and probably most Third world countries, there is little accountability. My advice is see and judge for yourself. It is your life you are risking. ลิลิน(lilinson@yahoo.com)10 ตุลาคม 2542 re: เพื่อนที่จากไป ขอแสดงความเสียใจกับคุณpanด้วยที่ประสบเหตุกาณ์นี้และเพื่อนของคุณด้ว ยเรารู้ว่าเป็นเพียงคนภายนอกที่รู้สึกว่าเราสูญเสียเพื่อนไป1 คน แต่เมื่อข่าวมาถึงนั้นข้อมูลที่ได้รับคงไม่ตรงกับความเป็นจริงที่เกิดขึ้น หลังจากที่ฟังข้อมูลเพิ่มเติมแล้วเราได้รับข้อมูลเช่นที่คุณบอกกล่าวม าและเห็นด้วยกับคุณเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าควรมีการเตรียมการป้องกันสำหรับการผจญภัยที่อันตรายเหล่านี้ และมีการประกาศกฏระเบียบให้ชัดเจนเพื่อไม่ให้เกิดอันตรายขึ้นอีก รวมทั้งหน่วยงานของรัฐทั้ง ททท.และกรมป่าไม้ควรได้จัดการ ศึกษาวิธีการที่จะทำให้ปลอดภัยมากกว่าแค่ให้ข้อมูลสถานที่ แม้ว่าเราจะรู้สึกเสียใจอย่างไร แต่ก็ต้องการแรงสนับสนุนจากผู้เคยผ่านประสบการณ์ในการท่องเที่ยวผจญภัยช่วยให้ข้อมูล ผลักดันให้การท่องเที่ยวในลักษณะนี้ในประเทศไทยมีระบบ ปลอดภัย ขอแสดงความเสียใจกับคุณอีกครั้ง ลิลิน ปุ๊ 11 ตุลาคม 2542 re: เพื่อนที่จากไป :ลิลิน เราดีใจที่ได้รับข้อความจากคุณหลังจากปานได้อธิบายไปแล้ว พวกเราทุกคนมีความเห็นเหมือนกันว่าต้องการให้เกิดการแก้ไข แค่เราเข้าใจกันเองยังไม่พอหรอก หากคุณคิดว่าจะมาช่วยกันผลักดันเรื่องนี้ให้เป็นรูปธรรมได้ โทรมาคุยกับเราได้ที่ 01-629-4890 ปุ๊
