Angel
At first I walked over to her, body glistening in the moonlight. I
lightly caressed it's entire length. Then I gently grasp the handle,
and ever so slowly open her door. Once I had that done,
I slid into the warmth of her seat.
There I sit, behind the wheel, one hand firmly gripped the leather,
with the other I reached into my pocket, and pulled out the
key. And with that, I pushed it into its proper place, in
her keyhole, until it could go no further.
After that was done, with the other hand, I pulled on her handle, and
closed the door. Then I again, firmly held her wheel in my
hand, while I turned the key, in its place with the
other, until I heard her awaken.
With one foot on the brake, the other on the gas, I slowly brought
her to a quiet roar. Once she warmed up, I grabbed the
stick, eased it into drive, and slowly we pulled out of the
driveway. Without a thought of direction, together.
Who knows how far I will take her, or she will take me. We do what
is important, ride off into the Sunset, together. For who
knows what adventures await us beyond the horizon. It is all
a matter of imagination, and being together.
