Latin American countries have tremendous
potential based on their natural and human resources, the diverse customs
of the region and a shared economic and political environment.
In the last 10 years, the military
governments in Latin America have been replaced by civilian governments
making way to the consolidation of the democratic institutions and pluralistic
democratic process. Economic and social reforms are being implemented in
most of the countries. They are establishing an export based economy through
new economic policies, the disposal of unprofitable states corporations,
cut tariff and open policies to welcome foreign investments.
Below is a list of Latin American countries,
each featuring the capital city, geographical size and the
population. |
