I am particularly pleased with the wheel and tyre combination. Standard tyres are boring 185/65 HR 14 so the Nittos are a vast improvement; very sticky. I used steel wheels and wheel covers off a Saturn, which have 15" wheels as standard and very innocuous plastic wheel covers. Brand new for $100 the set! There is absolutely no clue that something is different, unless you drive it --hard. After only 18,000 miles they are getting a little low on tread. Next time I will look for some longer life ones
I installed the springs last year. They lowered the back 1.25" and the front 2". This was inconsistent with their specs (-1.75"). They greatly improve the handling but the front is too low and riding on the bump stops. If you hit even a small bump there is a huge crash up front. This, of course, is unacceptable. I plan on cutting the original springs to see if I can improve on the setup that way, or purchasing some different front springs. I'm still on the original dampers but I don't think they would effect ride height any.
I finally installed some new shocks. I could only find slightly performance ones from KYB. They helped a lot with the front bump stop crashes though it is still too low. It also feels better in a straight line.
