As the third anniversary of the
death of his wife and son rolls round, Chris finds solace in the bed of
Purgatory whore, Maria. When a lady comes to Clarion looking for him, and he
still hasn't returned, Buck and JD drag him back to town. The lady is an old
lover of Chris's, Ella Gaines, and she asks him to help her fight off a man,
'Handsome Jack', who is attempting to force her off her land. As Chris and
the others head to Ella's ranch, Ella makes no secret of her remaining
feelings for Chris. Re-igniting their affair, she convinces him to stay with
her, while the others return to Clarion. Vin, however, becomes increasingly
suspicious of her apparent 'pre-planning' where Chris is concerned. Josiah gets addicted
to golf while at the ranch, and Nathan is thrilled to find a doctor there!
Meanwhile, Buck tries to win the approval of a young woman, while fending off
another. Will buck solve his women problems and can Vin find out what is really
going on, before Chris leaves the 'seven' for good?
