In Greek mythology, when people died, their "souls" had a few places to go. The bad ones ended up in Tartarus. The normal ones stuck around in Hades itself. However, for the select few, they could go to the Elysian Fields. According to some myths, this is the final resting place of the great warriors. Achilles is said to be there, along with both Ajaxes, Menelaus, and Helen.
