COAVER OPEN 2001
What perfect weather!!! Unbelievable. Thanks to all those that came along, it was a great way to end the season. On the Saturday there were 3 teams involved: The Greeks, The Pretenders, and Hong Kong Babes. In the end the Pretenders got to the Final only to be defeated by a strong "beginners" side. The evening awards ceremony was a laugh, especially when we got a trophy for something we didn't win. On Sunday each of the three teams excelled. Uni 3s anaged to make it through to the Cup competition with a good performance in their qualifying group. Uni 2s went into the Plate competition where they lost to the eventual runners-up. Uni 1s somehow got knocked into the Plate despite coming 2nd in their group, and as a result set about taking their frustration out on all they played, finishing as Plate Winners. Oh, and I got burnt.
