Well, what can I say really? A great weekend for the ladies. All the things you wanted to see (and some you didn't) caught on tape. The ladies finished 7th overall, but could have been 2nd, but who cares? It was having fun that was the main thing. I think the photos and the video sum it up the best, so I'll just give you brief highlights. Here we go (for three pages):
Tasha (c), Susie, Sophie, Carleen, Saskia, Arianna, Caterina, Daniela, Anna. Supporters: Ross, Andy. Medic: Alice. Coach: Nigel.
Game 1 vs. Glasgow: A loss unfortunately. The girls were tired and it showed. Qualification the next day would be hard. Andy, myself & Alice were also 'removed' from our seeting area high above the court. Why?
Game 2 vs. Cambridge: A great win against the eventual runners-up. One more game would see them through to the semis
Game 3 vs. Oxford: Unfortunately the girls let it slip against an under-performing Oxford side. They'd be playing for 7/8th on the Sunday
I'd like to take this opportunity to say "Hello" to the Leeds & Oxford ladies teams. How YOU doin'?
