These cards came out with the Dagabah expansion. Well at least the Inserts that effect the game the most like NTMTO or 3721, is the ones I will be talking about. There has been alot of articles on inserts on other sites and I filt that we can give an opinion on them here. Did Decipher realize the impact these cards were going to have in the game? Well once Decipher stated that these cards create a certain kink of balance in the game. What Decipher may have deen thinking is they wanted players who don't go to tournaments because they don't have MAINS to start showing up. So in other words that the inexperience players would have a cance against the more experience players. Well what happen was that the experience players started playing with these cards instead and new players and old got a little discouraged about the game. I know a few people who stop playing because of them. So basically, Yes, these cards were cheese when it first came out. Well actually its cheese still now, but with Cloud City, and JP it cards that can be dealt with. So don't thing there is not a way out. Cards like Ability, ability, ability or Civil Disorder, Resistance, or Ultamium put the right kind of balance to it. These are cards that Encourage battles which is something good wouldn't you say. Plus it still allows your opponent to play numbers because he may not have the MAINS to play with. Torture or DFTD are also good at stoping Numbers and have a good destiny also. So with these cards its a little harder for the die hard number player to get around, but it does encourage players to start playing with cards to have interaction with your opponent. You shouldn't be able to win with Numbers ONLY anymore. There should be something esle that your deck offers, thanks again to these cards. Remember when Captein Solo entered the Astroid feild he was playing the odds, so I guess Decipher thought if we play JUST mains there will be a risk to it. But Stay Positive like the title Says. A lot of people have negative things to say about inserts (including Myself). But I have come to realize that there are ways to Handle numbers and I have learned that a balanced Deck wins more games than a cheese Deck. So if your opponent is playing with numbers show him that you can beat the odds, Hey Han Solo seems to do it more ways than one.
