Title: Lower End Of Tustin
Some of you may have read Mr. Guzman's
report on Tustin, But I will report on the lower non-winning end of the scene.
BUT first of all the kid Tim so inaccurately called "DONKEY" was actually called
"Donkey-boy" . I was playing Rescue The Princess for light, and Skrillings for
dark.
GAME 1:
Rescue The Princess vs. Brad's Space deck.
I lost end of story. Gory details will not be written.
0(-14)
Game 2:
Skrillings vs. Hidden Base
I played against one of the most frustrating decks ever. I had 6 sites out and
a drain of 0. I lost this game as well. He had It's A Hit, It Could Be Worse,
and Rebel Fleet In addition to the cancellations that Hidden Base Provided.
I lost by 26.
0(-30)
Game 3:
Rescue The Princess vs. Mains and Toys
This is the most humiliating win of my life. My opponent was a newcomer to the
game, so everything went off without any difficulty. I felt bad destroying this
guy. I won by 12.
2(-18)
Game 4:
Skrillings vs. Mains 'n' Toys
This was the most fun game that I had played all day. My opponent was very classy
and polite. I kept most of his mains out of Jabba's Palace by using Scanning
Crew and with No Bargain. When he finally did deploy EPP Leia against Bossk
and a skrilling, he drew a destiny of 0. But then he went to space and slowly
drained me to death. I lost by 4. It was an honorable loss to a good opponent
though.
2(-22)
Game 5:
Skrillings vs. Dagobah Clouds/Death Star Plans
This was great. I saw his starting location, Dagobah, so I used Come Here, You
Big Coward! as my starting effect. His only characters that had any chance of
stopping this effect were gas miners and A Han Solo. His deck was rendered TOTALLY
useless. I won by 36.
4(+14)
Game 6:
Rescue The Princess vs. Carbon Chamber Testing w/Skrillings
Well this hurts. 2 captives right from the start. I got hit hard in few battles,
and there was no way to recover. I lost by 24.
4(-10)
Lunch:
I, unlike Tim, had a grip of food. It was the high point of the day.
Game 7:
Rescue The Princess vs. Nal Hutta Operatives.
Not a promising start. He flipped his objective on turn 2 and I still had no
characters in hand. Finally got my objective flipped, but lost a crucial battle
on Nal Hutta. I couldn't recover at all. Loss of 26.
4(-36)
Game 8:
Skrillings vs. Hidden Base
I drew a lot of sites right off, and I knew I would have to be quick or he'd
be able to cancel all my drains. I had the Cantina, Judland Wastes with Expand
The Empire, Jabba's Palace, Audience Chamber, and Rancor Pit. He took forever
to flip his objective. By the time he did, I already had the game won. Then
I used Abyssin Ornament for 12, and I won by 28.
6(-8)
And that's how Tustin Turned out for me. BUT I did get a lightside Death Star
and a Rouge 1 in my consolation packs. Anyways, I didn't do that well, but the
comedy we recieved from Donkey-boy the whole time made it worth the effort.
But do take notice, my last game was a win and I plan on carrying it over to
Vegas. START
