This is a prestige class modified from a character in a Playstation® RPG. The character is Meis from Thousand Arms. A Spirit Blacksmith creates powerful weapons infused with elemental properties by forging not only the weapon, but by forging spirits into the weapon as well. I decided to try a D&D version for a character that can craft some minor magical-type weapons without needing to be a spell caster.
These guidlines are not complete yet as I have to add the rules for forging weapons which will include XP expenditures to do, much like forging a magical weapon. I also need to add more details on Infusing Intelligence into a weapon.

This class is Copyright 2000 Evan Miller and is presented under the Open Gaming License. Please remember that this class is far from finished.

A Spirit Blacksmith perfects the art of smithing weapons and infusing willing spirits into the weapons to give them power. By infusing spirits of a particular element, the spirit lends a certain special ability to the weapon. To do this not only must the Spirit Blacksmith work to gain the favor of the spirit, but he or she must have the help of a member of the opposite sex to assist in the forging of the weapon. historically, Spirit Blacksmiths have been incorrigable lechers.
A Spirit Blacksmith begins with the element of his alignment; good or evil. S/he gains additional elements as they advance.

HD: d8

Weapon and Armor Proficiencies: Spirit Blacksmiths are proficient in the use of all simple and martial weapons. They are     proficient with all light and medium metal armors but no shields.

Master Smithing: Any weapon forged or worked on by a Spirit Blacksmith gains +5 Hardness and +10 hp to it's original stats.

Infuse Ability, +1 (Su): At 2nd level, the Spirit Blacksmith may infuse one ability from an available element into the weapon. The     weapon forged by a Spirit Blacksmith is also considered +1 in regards to it's ability to hit creatures with Damage Reduction. The     bonus does not apply to hit rolls or damage; for example a longsword infused by a Spirit Blacksmith can hit a creature with a     damage reduction of 5/+1 with no penalty, but still only rolls 1d20 to hit and 1d8 for damage with any applicable bonuses from     ability scores and feats only. The Blacksmith may not infuse Spirits into a weapon that is already magical (it is not an empty     vessel).

Infuse Ability x2, +2 (Su): At 6th level, the Spirit Blacksmith may infuse 2 abilities into the same weapon from the same element.     The abilities may not be from different elements. The weapon is also considered +2 to hit any creature with damage reduction as     per the entry above. The Blacksmith may not infuse Spirits into a weapon that is already magical (it is not an empty vessel).

Additional Eement (Su): The Blacksmith begins with the element of their alignment (good or evil). starting at 3rd level, and every     other level there after, the Blacksmith masters one additional element of Fire, Water, Earth or Air. A Blacksmith may never learn     the element of their opposite alignment.

Discern Weakness (Su): If a Spirit Blacksmith studies an opponent undistracted (not hit in combat, etc.) or object for one     round, the Blacksmith may make a sundering attack. A successful hit results in the weapon (armor, shield, etc.) or object breaking if the item's hardnes is 5 or less. Items with a hardness of 10 or more may make a Fortitude save to take 1/2 it's total hp in damage.

Charm Opposite Sex (Sp): At 8th level, 1/day the Blacksmith may charm a member of the opposite sex as per the spell charm.     This spell-like ability is performed as a sorcerer of the PC's Blacksmith level.

Infuse Intelligence (Su): At 10th level, a Blacksmith may forge a weapon to be intelligent. This may only be done on a weapon     forged from scratch.
