I started taking pictures when I was 14 with my father's Yashica 635 TLR 6x6 camera, which supported 135 films besides 120 ones. I still love taking pictures with it, but for most situations I use an auto-focus SLR 135 camera four which I have lenses: 28/f:2.8, 50/f:1.4, 135/f:2.8 and a 35-70/f:3.5-4.5 zoom.
I use the zoom lens a lot, but for more quality, I prefer the fixed-length lenses when I have the time to frame the picture and measure the light accurately.
For leisure picture taking, I use a point-and-shoot camera. I prefer the models with zoom lenses rather than the ones with fixed length lenses. But due to the poor image quality of this type of camera in general, I only use it when using the SLR is not an option. I wonder how the compact Rollei, with a Schneider zoom lens, and Yashica T4, with a Zeiss lens, perform...
I use both color and B&W films, the later developed by myself at home. Although lately I've become a fan of C41 B&W films because of their resolution and convenience to have them developed anywhere and quickly. For color photography, I prefer slide films, but they have got pretty expensive and have become hard to find. Color negatives are good enough to keep the photographic pleasure active though!
The subjects that attract me most are architecture, landscapes and people. The situation in which I love to explore these subjects most is at night, or available light photography. It not only poses difficult, challenging light situations, but offers an amazing world of light and shades, especially, but not exclusively, in B&W.
The photographers that inspire me a lot are:
