Ikari, Shinji
The third child. Shinji Was thrown into the conflct against the angels when his father,
after leaving him years before, needed him for something. Although Shinji did not know just what this "something" was, he came to his father's service.
He was then told that he was to become an Evangelion pilot. He was a little confused, but soon afterward had to go out and battle the third angel. He managed to succeed
in this battle, but he couldn't remember what had happened because he was hit and knocked unconsious. He woke up about a week later, and was told that he had killed the third angel...
Shinji is the main character in this story, and a lot that happens within the series affects him quite a bit.
