Chapter 2

“An orderly will bring a wheelchair around for you in a few minutes.” A nurse said as she passed by us. So I brought her over to one of the chairs in the waiting room. Just as another contraction hit her. She tensed up and grabbed the arm of the chair.

“They are...getting a lot closer.....then before.” She said in-between breathes. “By the way thanks, but you shouldn’t have done that, back there. He was my only shot at being able to support the baby. I don’t know what I am going to do know.” She said as the contraction subsided. A man brought a wheelchair over, and I helped her into it. Ashley and I walked with her to her room. Erik and Trevor were going to wait on word of Jacob.

“We’ll figure that out later, you don’t need that guy. He is an asshole, sorry about my language.” I said as she gave me a ‘that’s alright’ look. We got into her room that she would stay in, until right before delivery. She got up into her bed and laid back. The contractions were coming closer together which was a signal that she was closer to having the baby.

“Shit!” She said, causing all of us to jump.

“What’s wrong?” Ashley said

“All of my stuff is at my house. Now I have no way of getting it.” She said coming down off of a contraction and throwing herself back onto her pillow.

“That’s alright, I can go get it, if you don’t mind me going to your house.” Ashley said

“No I don’t mind, are you sure it isn’t any trouble?” She asked

“Yea, I’m sure.” He said. So she gave him her address and the keys to her apartment and left.

“God, my apartment is a mess. Mark had a bunch of his friends over last night partying. There are pizza boxes and beer cans everywhere, along with blankets. He always does that, because I have my own place and he is still living with his parents, so he can't have parties at his house. I hope Ashley can find it.” She said.

"I'm sure he will." I said as I sat down in a chair beside her bed.

“So how is Cindy?” She asked giving me a devilish look. Up until that point she never mentioned anything that would indicate that she knew who we all were. So I figured she didn’t know. I started to laugh at her sly question.

“She is fine, but we broke up with each other 3 months ago, but are still friends. I didn’t think you knew who I was.” I said smilling at her. She really was beautiful.

“Yea well, when I first saw you I was in a lot of pain, and the last thing on my mind was to jump up and down and get your autograph.” She said as another contraction hit. I grabbed her hand.

“I guess your right.” I said biting my lip, she had quite a grip on her.

Desiree’s POV

He had the sexiest smile. Man when he smiled everything else just faded away. And he was so nice, especially Ashley, going all the way to my house for me. Having Dan there, gave me a sense of comfort and warmth. He saved me in many ways from Mark. I couldn’t imagine Mark being in here with me. Then Ashley came back with my suitcase. I got up, with both their help, and took the suitcase from them. Then they left the room so I could get dressed.

Dan’s POV

When we walked out we saw Trevor and Erik walking out of the elevator.

“Hey, how is he?” I asked

“He’s doing good, his back is hurting pretty bad, but they gave him pain killers and now he is asleep. So we decided to leave him alone. How’s the girl?” Erik asked pointing towards her room.

“Good, I am glad he is alright. She is ok, I guess, but I think I am going to stay with her. You guys can go back to the hotel. Since Jacob is hurt we will get a long break for him to heal. So can someone pack my stuff for me?” I asked.

“I’m gunna stay too.” Ashley said.

“Ok we’ll go back to the hotel then. Tell..uummm....I don’t know her name..tell her we said hey, and good luck.” Trevor said as they started walking towards the elevators that they had just walked off of, we waited until the doors closed before we started talking again.
