| Chapter 10 (Hayden's POV) "What? What's wrong?" I asked. My heart felt like it dropped in my chest when I saw her sitting there in so much pain. "Oh my God! I need a doctor in here!!" Natalie said as she turned around and ran to the nurses station. I myself ran over to the bed beside Evelyn. She was sitting in the bed grabbing at her stomach. Her eyes were pinched shut but tears still managed to escape. Her face was red and she was trying everything she could not to scream. "Nothing....Nothing is wrong. The babies are coming NOW!!" She managed to say in between short raspy breaths. "Are you sure?" I asked as I she grabbed my hand and I tried to clean the sweat off of her face and neck. Her hair was pulled up into a very messy pony-tail. At that moment it all came together for me. She was the most beautiful women I'd ever met and she was and will always be the mother of my children. It will forever bind us to each other and she was giving me the chance to be a part of it. There would never be anything that I could ever give her to show her how much she means to me and how much I love her. "Hayden, are you alright?" Evelyn asked. She was in between contractions and lying back on the bed. "I'm great. Better than I could ever explain." I said as a doctor came into the room. "Ok, you are fully dialated and 100% aface so we are ready to have these babies. But as I am sure you already know the first baby is breached and with the complications that could possibly occur we are going to take you down to the OR and deliver there. That way if something should go wrong we will be ready to do an emergency C-section. If need be we are equiped and able to get those babies out of there in 60 seconds. how does that sound." The doctor said as he handed me a blue pullover to wear. He already had his on. "Whatever you have to do, do it. You have my full blessings. Do whatever is necessary to get these babies out safe." Evelyn said as she layed there. I quickly pulled the blue outfit on over my clothes and a nurse helped me put on a mask. They asured me that it was only for precaution in case they did have to do surgery the OR had to remain as sanitary as possible. As they wheeled Evelyn down to the OR i ran out to find Natalie and Ewan. They were sitting in the waiting room. Well Ewan was, Natalie was pacing back and forth. She jumped when she saw me coming. "What' going on?" She asked looking at my outfit. "Nothing yet but this is all precautionary. But I have to get down there. She is ready and they are coming quick. I'll see you in a few." I said to the both of them as I headed back towards the OR and where they took Evelyn. |
