| I was in the kitchen taking dinner out of the oven when he walked in. I kept my back to him and tried to wipe away the tears that had unconsciensly fallen down my face while I was thinking to myself. "What's wrong?" He asked as he walked over to me and turned me around to look at him. "Nothing, why?" I had always been a bad liar and Hayden was the first person to see through them. "Well for one thing you have been crying, and for another thing you were acting weird when you woke me up and gave me the phone." He asked, with concern in his voice. "I don't know. It must be my hormones acting up. I've cry a lot since I got pregnant." I said as I tried to take some of the weight off of my feet by leaning up against the counter. Hayden was still right in front of me. "Why do you try to lie to me?" He asked in a hurt tone. "Why didn't you tell me?" I asked "Tell you what." Puzzlement written all over his face. "That you were with someone." "I'm not, who said I was? And who did they say I am with?" "No one, but I just figured you were with Shannyn." I said looking down at the floor and then back up into his face. His fatures softened as he put his arms around me and rocked me back and forth. "I'm not with Shannyn. We met a couple months ago and were talking about wanting to do a movie together. I gave her my number in case anything came up." He said. My heart started beating like crazy and I felt so relieved, but I also felt like the biggest fool for jumping to that conclusion. "I'm sorry, she sounded suprised when I answered your phone and I figured it was because the two of you were going out." Hayden rested his hands on either side of me on the counter and looked straight into my eyes. "Don't be sorry. We actually did have an offer to do a movie but I still have to finish Episode III with George and my schedule wasn't open enough for another movie. That is why she called, to find out for sure whether I could do it or not. Which reminds me. I have to start filming the last episode in a week. But I have to leave for Australia in 3 days. Do you want to come with me?" He asked. By now he had a big smile on his face, glad that I wasn't upset anymore. "I'm so close to my due date." I said "I know but I talked to George last night when you were asleep and he said you were more than welcomed to come and that he would give us our own villa down there. It would probably mean that the babies would be born there, but hey, they'll get to say they were born in Australia. He said that we aren't far from a hospital, or if you want he has his own doctor on call and she could deliver the babies. I know it is a lot to ask and a lot to think about right now in such short notice, but I really want to be there when the babies are born." "I will talk to my doctor, but I'll do it. I know how much this movie means to you, and I really want you there when the babies are born too. Even if it means going half way around the world. So what I have 3 days?" I asked "Yea, I'm going to call George, so he can make the arangments." He said "Ok, well tell him I would like to have his doctor deliever the babies. I'm sure if he trusts her than she must be good. I'm just amazed that he would do all of this for us. You in particular." I said blown back by how much George was willing to help us out. "Well, he is a great guy, and plus he said he was getting brownie points incase he wants me for another movie. But seriously, this will be great. And I can't wait for you to meet Natalie and Ewan. They are the nicest people in the world. They'll love you. They already know about you, but now they ill get to meet you" He said as he started to leave the room "Wait!" I said "What?" "What about the cribs and all the babies things?" I asked suddenly thinking that it was going to take a lot of packing. "Well, I can have some guys come today and tomorrow and pack this stuff up and send it to where we will be staying. Everyone else is mainly already out there. So it will be there when we get there. Or we can leave it here and just buy everything we need there. Whatever you want to do, baby" He said as he kissed me. The kiss quickly turned from loving to passionate and it felt like all the blood rushed straight to my head. When we pulled away from each other I was afraid to open my eyes in fear that all of this would have been a dream. But when I finally did, I was in Haydens arms with my head resting on his shoulder breathing in a mixture of his cologne and aftershave. Whoever said heaven on earth doesn't exist, has never felt like this before. |
