Dressage
	When most people start eventing, they tend to just tolerate the dressage portion so they can rush on to the more exciting cross-country. I know I used to feel that way, too. But after awhile you learn that dressage is the key to success, in more ways than one. If you don't ride a decent dressage test, your chances of winning, or even placing, overall are slim. You also will appreciate having a supple, obedient horse who will be more responsive in the other two phases. Plus, you enjoy riding more if your horse is going correctly.
