Welcome to Atlanta Primitive Baptist Church!

We are a local congregation of believers in Jesus Christ who have united into a Church of Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to worship God in Spirit and Truth and to love one another as He loved us. We are dedicated to spreading the Good News of salvation by the Grace of God.

Please give consideration to the following statements and scriptures. If you find that this has the ring of truth in your heart, come and worship with us and learn more about the Grace of God.

1) Salvation is solely by the grace of God, and even faith is His gift and not of ourselves.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10

2) Faith is a fruit of the Spirit of God within a person.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

3) The grace of God and works of men are mutually exclusive. Grace and works for eternal salvation do not mix.

Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. Romans 11:5-6

4) God has a chosen (elect) people, these are predestinated to be the children of God by the finished work of Christ Jesus, in this God has made us accepted in the beloved (Christ Jesus). This is God's acceptance of us by the merit of His Son Jesus Christ, NOT us accepting Christ in order to become a child of God.

Blessed be the God Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: according as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. Ephesians 1:3-6
