#1- Pilot

New York City. Dr. Brown and his family are getting ready to leave in the morning for school and work. Julia(mom) reminds Andrew(dad) that tonight is Ephram's(son) piano recital. Okay he says. Later at work, of course he's swarped in work. Finally he leaves late as usual when 2 police officers let him know his wife has just been killed in a car accident.       Alone and sad, Andrew insanly comes up with the idea to move his two children to Everwood, Colorado. Ephram especially doesn't work to leave his friends but does.       They settle in Everwood where Ephram is more angry then ever. He leaves for school mad and Andy is puzzled. Meanwhile at school Ephram runs into the bullies but defends himself with wit and charm. A local girl named Amy is especially impressed with

him. She follows him inside making a few comical jokes. And then asking if his father was the new famous doctor. He says sure,like he didn't want to admit it, and she says let's do lunch sometime and leaves. She leaves Ephram feeling like something could possibily happen in this small town.       Later Andy is searching for the perfect doctors office with town busybee Brenda Baxworth. She shows him some of the "fabulous" offices in town but he doesn't want an office like NY. Finally he sees the old broken down train station and says it's perfect.     Ephram is in the library discussing comic books with his new pal Amy, and she's totally into it. Suddenly she asks if he has the perfect make-out song in mind, and wants to get naked. They begin to kiss when his alarm goes off. Ephram relized that he was dreaming and totally had a wet dream and soiled the sheets.      Ephram is in the laundry room washing his sheets when his dad questions him on why he's suddenly doing his own laundry and then he simply tells him to go to hell.       In the morning of his first day, Dr.Brown is painting when the "other doctor" tells him he's parked in his space and next time he will have it towed.       Later Amy shows Ephram a ski trail where you can see the whole town. He asks her why she's hanging out with him and she makes up an excuse right quick. Walking back to school Amy's brother Bright tells her that their father will skin her ass if he catches her hanging out with Ephram. and she blackmails him into not telling.           After school Delia(daughter) is helping Andrew with the sign when Edna Brown asks to work as a nurse for him saying she used to work for Dr. Abbott but left. He says he'll look over her resume later and give her a call.       Back at the Brown house Delia starts to play the piano when Ephram has a fit and yells at her to stop. Andy trys to talk him into playing again and he walks off. Then Andrew leads himself up to his bedroom and begins to see his dead wife. At the door Delia watches.      The next day at school Ephram gets a note in his locker from Amy to meet her at the ski trail. He does and it turns out to be Bright telling him to stay away from Amy because she has a boyfriend. Amy runs up when Bright hits Ephram, then Amy hits Bright.       Meanwhile at school Delia is upset about what she saw, and Irv(Edna's husband) tells her everything is going to be okay.       Meanwhile at the new doctor's office, Andy convinces Brenda to be looked at instead of Dr.Abbott. When she trys to pay him, he refuses telling her he is working for free.       In the principals office, Dr. Brown and Dr. Abbott find out that their kids did this to each other.      Ephram and Andu fight on the way home saying things to each other that they dont really mean and Ephram takes off on his bike to cool down. Looking over his shoulder Nina(neighbour) saw the fight and invites him in for coffee.      The next morning at the Brown doctor office, Dr. Abbott is surprised to see all his patients at the Brown office for free medicine and stomps off mad.      Later at school Amy tries to smooth thing over with Ephram, and then she says she wants him to meet her boyfriend in Denver. They go to Denver where he sees her boyfriend Colin laying in a coma, she explains the story about Colin and Bright being thrown from the truck on fourth of July and Colin falling  into a coma.      Later at home Ephram returns, Andy wonders why he doesn't talk to him ,then he begins to see his dead wife again. This time shes explaining the story of how when she was a little girl her and her parents toke a train trip and got stuck in a snowy town called Everwood. And if she ever died, she wants him and the kids to move there, cuz that's where she will be in spirit. He then turns around and sees Delia watching him, he tries to explain to her but she says it okay, I know your fine.      Then he hears the piano, and finds Ephram playing. Andy asks him how has day was and he says he fell in love with a girl in love with a guy in a coma, but other then that, okay. They talk and say they didn't mean what they say. Then Andrew just listens to Ephram play.
