Draft Conveyance of 39 Canonbury Road Ramsgate. Between Mrs. Mary Jane Hobbs & Others and Mr. George B. Franks. 6th November 1897.

An agreement by Mary Jane HOBBS, of Ramsgate, Widow, and Edward Johnson HOBBS, of Ramsgate, Draper, was made with the following. William Morris BOYTON of Ramsgate, Gent', George Hugh SNOWDEN, formerly of Southsea Hampshire, now of Halford near Shipton on Stour, Worcester, Esq.', The Revd' Charles Harcourt Vaux SNOWDEN of the Parish of St. Peter the Apostle in the Isle of Thanet and George Benjamin FRANKS of Ramsgate, Chemist and Druggist. Document was to be witnessed by Edward WOTTON, Solicitor, Ramsgate (for William Morris BOYTON), T Scarlet POTTER, Sculptor (for George Hugh SNOWDEN) G.M.McGRATH, Ass' Schoolmaster, Hildersham, St Peters, Kent (for Charles Harcourt Vaux SNOWDEN) and Arthur H DANIAL, Solicitor, Ramsgate (for Mary Jane HOBBS and Edward Johnson HOBBS).

The document quotes earlier Indre.

5th December 1862. Conveyance between George Martin HINDS, surveyor, William SIMMONS, Gent' and Thomas HOBBS.

[The following was boxed in ink and it is not clear if it should have been included or the date was not put in.]. Mary Jane THORNTON, widow, Revd' Charles THORNTON, John MACKESON and Thomas HOBBS.

8th December 1862. Indre of mortgage between Thomas HOBBS and John ROGERS, Gent'.

25th February 1869. Indre between Elizabeth ROGERS, widow, Nehemiah GRIFFITHS Esq. James TOWNLEY, Solicitor, Mark MILLS Esq. and Thomas HOBBS.

 27th July 1869. Between Thomas HOBBS, Builder, Thomas Hodges Grove SNOWDEN, Gent', The Revd' Charles Grove SNOWDEN, and William Morris BOYTON. Thomas HOBBS raised a mortgage on the property from the others for £2000.00.

29th November 1864. Thomas HOBBS made his last will and left his estate to his wife Mary Jane HOBBS and his son Edward Johnson HOBBS.

 21st November 1870. Thomas HOBBS died.

20th February 1888. . The mortgage debt was conveyed by William Morris BOYTON to William M BOYTON, George Hugh SNOWDEN, and Harcourt Charles Vaux SNOWDEN. £1200.00 still remained on the Mortgage. Mary Jane HOBBS and Edward Johnson HOBBS agreed with George Benjamin FRANKS to sell the property, 39 Canonbury Road, for £350.00. This to be used to reduce the mortgage. In addition George Benjamin FRANKS paid an extra £5.00 to Mary Jane and Edward Johnson HOBBS. It notes that Canonbury Road was formerly known as 1 Canonbury Road and before that 3 Canonbury Villas.
