Where do I find the enemies Lilith, Lilim, Nightmare, Scary Candle, Trick Candle, Mimic Candle, and Franken?
These enemies will not appear until you have defeated the boss Camilla. Scary Candle can be found in the room where Golem, the Clock Tower boss was. Trick Candle can be found in the room where Hell Hound, the first boss was. Mimic Candle is located in the hallway with the Skeleton Athletes. Lilith appears in a secret room in the Underground Warehouse. Lilim appears in a secret room in the Clock Tower. Nightmare appears in a secret room in the Outer Wall. Franken appears in the Eternal Corridor after defeating Camilla.
Where do I find the enemies Devil Armor and White Armor?
These enemies are exclusive to the Battle Arena, so if you are looking to get the Black Dog and Unicorn cards that these enemies drop, you will need to fight your way through. Devil Armors appear in the third to last round in the Arena, and White Armors appear in the second to last round.
Where do I find the enemy Skeleton Medalist?
Remember when you first started the game and Dracula knocked you down that giant pit? Well, go back to that first room, activate the Jupiter + Serpent DSS card combination (The ice shield), jump down the pit, and hold left as you fall. Eventually, you will break open a hole in the left wall. In the next room, break a hole through the ceiling (using a summon, Jupiter + Serpent, or some other DSS). If you move fast enough, in the next room you should see the Skeleton Medalist.
How do I actually beat the Skeleton Medalist?
If you are trying to get the Bear Ring from the Skeleton Medalist, you will need to move fast. As soon as you enter the room, the Skeleton Medalist will start running toward the left and fall apart when he hits the wall. If you have the Pluto and Griffin cards, you will probably want to activate them to increase your running speed, and if you have the Stopwatch sub-weapon it will definitely come in handy. Don't panic if you don't have these items, though; you can still beat the Skeleton Medalist. To do this, you should drop down through the ceiling and go to the right of the screen. Then, start dashing towards the left, and jump through the ceiling with your Roc Wing while you are still dashing. When you land, the dash will still be activated and you should have a chance to hit the Skeleton Medalist. You only get once chance to hit him this way, so you might want to level up, equip 2 Strength Armbands and use the Venus + Thunderbird DSS.
How do I defeat the Candle enemies?
Defeating the candle enemies can be especially difficult, since you only have a few seconds before they disappear. To defeat them, you will want to use the Stopwatch sub-weapon and the Mars + Unicorn DSS combination. Power up DSS, use the stopwatch, hit the fake candles, and get as close as possible to the Candle enemy. The closer you are to the enemy, the more damage the Holy Sword will do. You should be able to get in at least 4 hits before the enemies disappear. If you are still having trouble, you might want to equip yourself with 2 Strength Armbands, level up, and try again.
What do Intelligence and Luck do?
Intelligence refers to how fast your MP gauge will refill. The higher your Intelligence rating, the more spells you will be able to cast. Luck refers to the chance that a defeated enemy will drop an item. The higher your Luck rating, the more likely an enemy will drop an item.
How can I easily defeat Devils?
The best way to defeat the Devil enemy is by using the Cross sub-weapon and hit-and-run tactics. When you see the Devil finish its attack, quickly run up to it and throw one or two Crosses. Try to plan it so the point where the Crosses come back to you is right over the Devil. After firing the crosses, run as fast as you can away from the Devil. Be careful, because these enemies can teleport. If this happens, just run as fast away from the enemy as you can. When he finishes his next attack, repeat this pattern. Defeating Devils may take some time, but the hefty 10000 Exp reward is definitely worth the effort.
How the heck do I beat Magician Mode?
When you first begin Magician Mode, the game may seem incredibly difficult. Although you have some powerful spells at your disposal, your MP and Intelligence are relatively low. As you level up, however, these ratings will increase dramatically. You will want to level up and pick up as many MP Max Increases as possible. After a while, you'll find that you can wipe out rooms full of enemies instantly with the Uranus + Thunderbird Summon DSS Attack. Although this attack uses a whopping 200 mp per attack, it is incredibly useful for defeating bosses. If you ever find yourself with low HP and far from a Save Point, you can use the Uranus + Unicorn Summon DSS Spell to regain some HP. Also, the Pluto + Uranus DSS combination will make you completely invincible (although you cannot damage enemies).
How the heck do I beat Shooter Mode?
Of all the Game Play modes, Shooter Mode is probably the most difficult due to the low Strength and Defense ratings. To survive in this mode, you will need to rely mostly on sub-weapons. Although the homing daggers are pretty nifty, your best bet is to use the Cross. With one Cross, you will deal three times the amount of damage you would deal with your whip. Plus, the Crosses in Shooter Mode only require 3 hearts instead of the usual 6. In order to survive in Shooter Mode, you will definitely need to do a great deal of leveling up, and you will probably want to use the Venus + Golem DSS combination to accomodate for your low Defense rating.
Why can't I swing my whip?
If you find yourself unable to swing your whip, you have probably been hit by a Marionette or Legion and have the "Curse" status ailment. To fix this, simply use the item called Cure Curse.
How do I defeat Devil Armors?
In order to defeat a devil armor using your whip, you need to have fast reflexes. Before they attack, devil armors always point their swords in the direction that they will fire their energy blasts. You don't want to be right up close to the devil armors, but you want to be close enough that you can jump in for an attack. Before you start attacking them blindly, however, you need to watch the direction they point their swords. If they point their swords right at you or at your feet, jump towards them and swing your whip. If they point their swords upward, just stay on the ground and whip them. After you attack, run away before they can fire their next attacks. You can also defeat devil armors easily if you have the cross sub-weapon. Wait until the devil armor fires an upward blast, then run in and fire a few cross boomerangs, aiming so that the boomerangs start to turn around when they are right over the devil armor.
