BIGGEST RUMOR THUS FAR:

BIG BROTHER MTV:
Could CBS parent company Viacom be planning a move from CBS to MTV
for Survivor's little sister? Rumors are flying that its possible
Besides the fact that Big Brother USA could reach more than just the
North American audience by being aired on MTV, to the right are some
other reasons why the move might be good for the reality television
series..
.
|
Why BB3 Is Best On MTV:
*Target demographic on MTV is
the same as the target demographic on Big Brother.
*CBS only airs the Big Brother
show during summer. On MTV, it could be aired multiple times
during the week and after Real World, no matter what season it airs.
*Big Brother could deal with
more contraversial issues that CBS is afraid to touch on
"family" programming nights.
*Big Brother USA could be viewed
by audiences outside of North America on MTV, including South America,
Europe, Russia, and other locations. |

Whatever happened to Ian?
Remember Big Brother 1? The
first episode showed host Julie Chen with reporter Ian O-Malley - we all
assumed they were both the hosts. After one episode, Ian was
gone! Bring him back! |
Bye Bye Julie?
Could Big Brother be hosted by a sassier, more
confrontational show host in the future? CBS might can Julie Chen in
favor of a more authoratative host, as some fans have clamored for.
Or perhaps, the show might bring a co-host on to do that job - Big Brother
shows around the world frequently emply the "two-host" formula
in the first place. Julie might even be relegated to acting as
challenges referee inside the house, just as Jeff Probst acts as judge on
Survivor..

BIG BROTHER - SURVIVOR CHALLENGE:
BRING IT BACK.
In a new Big Brother season, fans
will most certainly want another BB-Survivor Challenge. And should
Viacom push Big Brother onto MTV, we may even expect to see the MTV
RoadRules-Real World Challenge repeated with Big Brother and Survivor in
a reality showdown between all four shows! |
|
BRING BACK THE
VIEWERS VOTING RIGHTS!
Big Brother 3 should incorporate more viewer
participation besides just the Americas Choice phone-in voting.
Perhaps the viewers can vote for the Head Of Household, or maybe they
can phone in their eviction votes, and the majority opinion of the
audience will be included in the house vote as one single vote.
This could have had major impact in situations where a house favorites
gets the boot from threatened in-house alliances, such as Bunky.
Bunky would not have been voted out had the audience had a say in the
situation! |

The Real World on
CBS?
If MTV and CBS decide to
allow the Big Brother show to port over to MTV, I think it would only be
fair to bring The Real World into mainstream American homes by airing it
opposite Survivor on CBS on the same night as MTV, to encourage more
cross-station viewing between fans of the two television series.

NEW THEME MUSIC PLEASE!
Is anyone else bored with the American theme song on Big
Brother? Has anyone else heard the moving techno dance themes to
the European, South African, and Australian versions of the show?
They have even spawned soundtrack CDs. For Big Brother success,
you need a brand name - and Europe has created viewer loyalty with songs
and products that viewers can identify with. All the US version
has is an outdated board game (doesn't include the Head of Household
feature)

Redo Your Website too
CBS!
The CBS website for Big
Brother 2 was just plain boring - the message boards were gone, the
features were lacking, and half the time they did not work! Try
taking a look at Big Brother South Africa's web page - they have online
interactivity, history of Big Brother, games, mp3s, cell phone ring tones,
and screensavers! We want our website to be just as interesting! |
