    Evil Devils Game Rules Tips.
  • Table settings 2/2/2 means the table is made by the first listed player and opponent thus the first 2= 2 players, the 2nd 2= draw 2 cards, the 3rd 2= the number of canastas needed to go out. Sometimes you will see a game that is played 2/2/1 this means 2 players, 2 cards, 1 canasta. Tables should also be rated and private, & KIBITZ OFF unless otherwise stated.
  • A "RED" canasta means a natural canasta which cannot have any wilds in it. A "BLACK" canasta must have at least 1 wild in it. The color of the cards in both does not matter as the difference is use of a wild.
  • INITIAL MELD: When a game calls for a specific set of cards to be melded in inital meld; this means within the first turn a player melds, said cards must hit the table either alone before any other cards or simultainously with the rest of meld. For example; Jack the Joker - if it is your turn and you can meld and have 3 Aces, you must meld Jacks with a Joker and the Aces at same time, prior to discarding. If you have other cards to play, have opponent verify in chat that you had the required card melded prior to your discard.
    Initial meld cards must be played to table prior to any other cards unless done so simultaneously with required meld cards included melding canasta of any cards.
  • FIRST MELD are cards that must be played to table either first or included with other cards played in same turn, including melding canasta of any cards before discarding.
  • Most of our games can be played as touch (pickup) or no touch (no pickup pile), 1 OR 2 canastas, singles or doubles, decided by by hosting TD and stated on main tourney page and rules page.
  • No restarts on DQs will be allowed, but if player DQs in error and opponent wishes to continue playing, game can continue as if DQ did not happen but winning results of said game will be the player with winning score.
  • If a problem occurs and cannot be resolved by hosting TD, please invite a HTD/ADMIN for final ruling if available. ALL LEAGUE RULES will apply.
  • Hosting TD should give consideration to games requiring multiple cards for INITIAL MELD (Example Triangle) when scheduling a doubles game.

*DOUBLE ELIMINATION TOURNEY*
In this tourney you play elimination rounds as a normal tourney, with the exception that you continue playing until you lose twice.



*RANDOM PARTNERS DOUBLES*
In this tourney you sign up as you would in singles, & when TD closes, Cases will assign you a partner that will remain with you thru the entire tourney. Game rules will apply.



*SWISS TOURNEY*
Can be played either as singles or doubles. In a swiss tourney, you do not have to play in all rounds. But you get buxx for every round you win. If you don't want to play in all rounds, please ask TD to take you out of tourney before advancing to next round. Please make sure TD has verified your request. This also insures that you will be taken out of the tourney Each player will play each round, regardless of win or loss of each round. Games played will be chosen by the TD. Rules of games will be posted on Tourney Rules Page for each round. Rounds are played until there is ONE winner.






*TRUE SWISS TOURNEY*
Tables according to game rules. Can be played either as a singles or doubles. The number of rounds played will be determined by the TD. Games played will be chosen by the TD. Rules of games will be posted on Tourney Rules Page for each round. Each player plays in each round, unless they choose to be removed.-- For every game that you win, Buxx are awarded.--The Winner of the tournament is the player who has WON the most games for the total rounds selected. Unlike a regular swiss, there maybe more than one winner.

You CANNOT canasta both 7s & 10s, only canasta one or the other. Open meld DOES NOT mean INITIAL meld, it simply means you must have that set melded on board WITHOUT it being a canasta. Barnyard is cows (7s) in the field & chickens (9s) in the barn yard pecking around. You MUST have chickens & cows in your FIRST meld. You may use wilds & other cards with your BARNYARD. You may canasta anytime BUT the twist of this game is that COWS (7) CAN be canastad BUT CHICKENS (9) CANNOT unless it is a RED nasta which would give you auto win. This tourney is played basically the same as a BOS with the exception that players decide if they want to be an angel or a devil. There will be two tourneys listed to be played at the same time. One tourney will be "Angels" & the other "Devils". Angels MUST have 7s & Js in INITIAL meld (first cards to hit the table). Devils MUST have 4s & Ks in INITIAL (first cards to hit the table). You may use wilds. After initial meld you may meld/canasta anything, anytime. NO TOUCH PILE. NO RESTART ON DQ! You play till there is a Angel winner & Devil winner. The winners of each will play and singles league game playoff to determine if Angels or Devils prevail! The playoff game will alternate each hand with 4 & K with 7 & J need in INITIAL Meld.




*BATTLE OF THE AGES*
BOA Tourney is set up as 2 tourneys. One for 35 & under & one for 36 & over members to join. Both tourneys will be same game to keep things fair for everyone. Once both tourneys are over & TD has an Under & Over 35 winner, TD will make a table & invite both winners (player with lower rating will chose first seat choice for 1st game, players will stand up after each game, 2nd & 3rd game, highest score will have seat choice.. PLAYERS: Be advised that this is a FUN tournament, BUT if you cannot accept the fact that you may be voted out by an alliance, please do not enter this tournament. If you CANNOT stay for the whole tourney, PLEASE do not join.
This is a 5 Round True Swiss Singles that works like this..Rules for each game will be posted in lobby or tribal table if lobby is busy prior to running pairs. Once players are present invite TD to table - TD will type "GO" in chat. You may then start play. At the end of EACH ROUND, you will be invited to Tribal Table and 1 at a time, by messy or to a separate table be asked to cast your vote for the player you want kicked out of Survivor...depending on the amount of players 1 or 2 may be kicked off each round..only the TD will know the votes .. so feel free to make alliances ...At the end of 5 Rounds, there will be ONLY one sole survivor. Games played each round will be chosen by the TD. All of the rules/game rules chosen by the TD are to be followed or may result in a DQ. Rules of games will be posted on Tourney Rules Page for each round. PLEASE READ ALL RULES CAREFULLY!
Alliances, partnerships, etc., are all allowed of course.
*CAST YOUR VOTES*
Once you are in, the only way out is to be voted out. If you leave before you are voted out, you will get a loss for every game you do not play in. Voting will be confidential and no one will know who you vote for except the TD. Each player shall REMAIN at Tribal table until the TD announces who was voted out. Players get their chance to say goodbye to you and the TD will boot you from the Tribal table if you are the one voted out! It’s fun for the TD and part of the tournament.
Special note* In all of the No Touch games, any disqualifications will be deemed canceled games and the player receiving the win will not have immunity for the next round. Any players who DQ will not be eligible for immunity for the next 2 rounds.
If a player receives a bye, they can choose to play the hosting TD for a chance at Immunity. If that game is not finished before a player says *WON* at the tribal table, they have the option to cancel it UNLESS all games are completed, then they must cancel so as not to hold up the tournament progress.
*You cannot vote off a player who has immunity for that round* In the event of a tie in voting, all voters will re-vote for the 2 that are tied, the person with the most votes will be voted off. If there is still a tie, all previous votes will be tallied and the player with the most votes between the two will be voted out. If this is the first round and there is still a tie after the re-vote, tie will be broken by 1 hand of cut, winner will stay and loser will get the boot.
IMMUNITIES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1. First reported player at table to finish game with TD acknowledgement will receive immunity for Round vote. TD will type “WINNER” in chat of winning table.
2. First reported player to get ALL 4 red three’s with TD acknowledgement will receive immunity for Round vote. If no player reports this immunity - First reported player at table to finish game with TD acknowledgement will receive immunity for Round vote. TD will type “WINNER” in chat of winning table.
3. First reported player to go out melding black 3s with TD acknowledgement will receive immunity for Round vote. If no player reports this immunity - First reported player at table to finish game with TD acknowledgement will receive immunity for Round vote. TD will type “WINNER” in chat of winning table.
4. First reported player to make a RED canasta with TD acknowledgement will receive immunity for Round vote. If no player reports this immunity - First reported player at table to finish game with TD acknowledgement will receive immunity for Round vote. TD will type “WINNER” in chat of winning table.

Hosted TBA each month @ TBA TOC Singles is a Tourney that automatically invites all players who have won a tourney in the previous month. Like any other invite only tourney players must go to teams/check in & checkin to tourney by finding their name & entering their league password. Games played will be chosen by the TD.

PLEASE DO NOT WITHDRAW FROM THIS TOURNEY WHILE IN PROGRESS.
This a 8 Round True Swiss Tournament. All rounds will be played unless there are less than 8 registered players. At the end of each round, the player with the lowest game score is the "weakest link" and will be eliminated. (In case of a tie both low scores are removed from tourney.) Good Luck!
Depending on the number of entries there could be more than 1 player eliminated each round. *Number of players to be eliminated will be announced before each round.
..Like Survivor....Lowest Score is kicked off each round..Hence..."You are the weakest link....Goodbye!"

*Players with a BYE will advance to next round.
*MIA Timeouts or DQs are eliminated. Winning opponent will automatically advance.
