I was listening to Richard Kingsmill's "2000" program on Triple J a couple of weeks ago, and Jane Gazzo was doing her report from the UK. She said she ran into Martin Craft in London - apparently he's moved over there! He's getting some new music together, doing busking, club shows and such and generally hanging out. That's all I know, but hey at least it's something. Looks like this truly is the end of Sidewinder. I'll continue to cry into my beer and wear out their CDs...

I love this band, I love this site, but I have to say, WHAT IS THE GO?? Where are you guys, and what's happening - for the love of god, you've gotta tell me! Yeah I'm desperate I know, but I've heard everyone saying that Sidewinder have split up, and I do 't want to believe it. Come on, you can't give someone such beautiful music as yours and then take it away.... without playing a few last shows, anyway!! Well if the rumours are true, then thanks for the ride, it was fun while it was lasted. But if there's anyone out there who knows something, anything about what's happening, please let me know - you will at least be putting one small Siderwinder fan out of her misery. ok whats the deal are the band broken up or not? i wasn't very impressed to show up at the Sidewinder gig at NSW uni to find out the band had apparently broken up the week before and weren't playing the gig anymore has anyone heard any news?

Well done on the page mel! I am a an obsessed fan from Perth,for the music mostly but I do wish I was nick.Can you blame me?Does anyone know who chose God as the last single? Personally, I love every song on the album but other music listeners (jjj) don't exactly have the best taste and poeple who don't follow the band just didn't like the song. My picks would have been a song with a bit more of the electronic/big beat element to it eg. other side of light (the first song that really got me hooked on first listen),intensify also,and I feel Hippapotta M. would have really got poeple interested as well. Sorry to rave on but I think so highly of the band and want the best for them.Everyone should have Tangerine in there collection.Please let me know how their ay '99 gigs go,new songs,instruments etc.And any news on a visit to PERTH?I await their return with much anticipation.Thank's, Damian

The guys actually asked me to write their press release for Tangerine (which I did - and enjoyed - and was paid well for), but I've never seen it. I'd like to see it on your nice looking web page. The guys are all just scrumptious individuals (who wants their phone numbers?!?!?!?), and it's good to see them planning world domination again.
