Yes, welcome to the reviewing of King Of Fighters 2001! We will try to give our personal opinions mixed with actual facts to give you not only the truth about the game play, but also the truth if the game SUCKS! HUH?! We're reviewing a fighting game other than Street Fighter?! I can deal with that, only because its King Of Fighters 2001. This game is very cool because of the fighting system this game runs on. The game plays as the basic one-on-one round based match, only that your picking a team. So when your first character of the team loses, the next character will pop out and start his fighting. There are 10 teams, each with 4 members within the teams in KOF2001. You can pick an entire team and witness a storyline (the ending), or you can mix-and-match to satisfy your desires.
I personally love the KOF series because it is like the street fighter series except you are able to play with multiple characters to make sure you don't bore yourself with the same moves and supers. Another reason I have to give it up to KOF 01' is because of the cool (and cute) new look given to the characters (especially their pics on the character selection screen ^.^;)!!
If you never played the KOF series, then you must pick this game up. The KOF series brings back all of your favorite characters from previous video games including "Fatel Fury", "Art Of Fighting" and even "The Ikari Warriors"!!! Now that I'm done spazzing out about the teams, I'll talk about the striker system. In KOF 01', the striker system has changed to the liking of the game "SNK vs CAPCOM". Now you can pick 4 characters, but you can now CHOOSE how many strikers you want (Zero strikers is the least and three is the most). Now, the more strikers you have, the more powerful your actual primary fighters will be. I mean, me, personally I don't need any strikers or partners, cause I'm way to powerful for anyone else anyways!! MWA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!
OK, don't worry this is the end of my review...this KOF has some pretty cool storylines and endings! But to tell you the truth, I enjoy playing the Vs. mode, cause I like whipping Tomcats butt in the game! The Vs. mode is always fun when you anger other people! OK!! we all know that I am the man, *AHEM* I gave this game a well deserving 8.7/10. So go out and get this game NOW! These are my orders.....now GO!
