Concerned over his lover, Lance finally stood up and walked towards the bar where he found Chris getting drinks for people.
“What happened to Josh?” he asked Chris, recognizing JC’s friend and old employer. “He hasn’t come back yet to our table.”
“I haven’t seen JC all night,” replied Chris as Justin wandered over, now on break and handed him a bottle of water as Justin was going to be performing more later and didn’t want to ruin the experience because of alcohol. “I didn’t even know he was here! I haven’t heard from him that night the bar brunt down. I guess you must have found him though.”
“You should ask Joey,” informed Justin, helpfully. “He always knows what’s happening around here.”
“Ask me what?” asked the Italian wandering over having seen all of his friends together at the bar.
“JC left to get us drinks over ten minutes ago and now he’s disappeared!” cried Lance, panic being clearly displayed on his face.
“Let him go Lance,” sighed Joey. “He’s nothing but trouble.”
“You don’t even know him!” shot back Lance.
“He’s right Joe,” agreed Chris. “JC is a great guy!”
“Chris stay out of this,” sighed Joey.
“Where is Josh!” demanded Lance.
“I had Lonnie and Dre escort him out,” sight Joey.
“You what?!” cried Lance as he made a move to turn and head for the door but Chris stopped him.
“I’ll get him,” informed Chris. “He wouldn’t have gotten far. Right now you and Joe need to settle this thing.”
“Chris is right,” agreed Justin. “Lets all go to your office Joey, and when Chris finds JC he can bring him in there.”
“Fine!” grumbled Lance as he followed Joey and Justin while Chris hurried towards the entrance to the bar. Just outside the entrance, sitting down on the curb while intensely watching the door was the person he was looking for.
“JC!” cried Chris rushing over to him and he could clearly see that JC was upset.
“Chris!”
“Come on C!” ordered Chris grabbing JC’s arm and dragging him towards the bar.
“I can’t Chris!” protested JC sadly. “Can you go in and find Lance for me? He’s around 5’11, blond spiky hair--”
“I know who he is!” interrupted Chris. “It’s okay though, he’s with Joey, this was all a big misunderstanding and I’m to take you to him right now.”
“Really?” sniffed JC.
“Yeah,” nodded Chris. “Now come on before Lance tries and kill Joey.”
As they re-entered the bar, JC followed Chris towards a back room where Joey’s office was located. Upon entering the office, Chris and JC found Lance pouting on a leather couch, Joey sitting behind his desk and Justin perched on the edge of the desk.
“Lance!” cried JC, rushing over to his lover who happily pulled JC down into his arms where they shared a kiss. When they broke the kiss, Lance smiled briefly at JC before turning his attention to Joey, hardening his gaze at the older man.
“I think introductions are in order,” grumbled Lance, keeping an arm around JC and rubbing his hand up and down his lover’s back as Chris sat down on the couch next to the couple. “Josh this is my ex-best friend, Joey and his friend Justin. Justin and Joey, this is Josh, my boyfriend.”
“Nice to meet you,” replied Justin, giving JC a warm smile. Just because Joey had already made up his mind about JC, Justin figured that Lance wasn’t dumb enough to fall for someone who didn’t completely care about him.
“You too,” smiled JC. “You were great tonight. I was telling Lance that he needed to sign you for a record contract.”
“Really?” beamed Justin.
“Yeah,” nodded JC. “You could be a star!”
“We’ll discuss this later,” interrupted Lance. “Right now we need to discuss why my so called friend decided to kick you out of his bar.”
“It was for the best!” growled Joey. “He kidnapped you! Then made you fall for him so he could get at your money!”
“I never asked anything from Lance,” replied JC quietly before Lance could respond, causing everyone in the room to look at him. “I didn’t mean to kidnap him and I as sure didn’t mean for either of us to fall in love but it did happened and there’s nothing I can do or want to do to change that.”
“I love you too,” whispered Lance as he brought their lips together for a kiss. “And being kidnapped by you was the best thing that ever happened to me.”
“Joey, can’t you see how much they’re in love?” sighed Chris.
“Yeah Joe,” agreed Justin. “I mean it has to be love if Lance is willing to tolerate me and is willing to sign me just because JC thinks so.”
“I still don’t like it,” grumbled Joey.
“You don’t have to like it Joey,” replied Lance, able to keep his cool only because of JC being next to him, wrapped around his body. “It’s my life.”
“Fine,” sighed Joey in defeat. “I don’t like it but I’ll accept it and leave you two alone. Just don’t come running to me when he breaks your heart Lance.”
“I don’t plan on breaking his heart . . . ever,” replied JC, with a determined look on his face.
“And I’ll never break your heart,” smiled Lance turning his attention to his lover. “I love you too much to lose you!”
As the pair began to kiss again, the three other men stood up and made their way to the door.
“You’re a good friend,” commented Justin to Joey as he looked back at the couple making out on the couch. “But trust this JC guy.”
“Why should I?” sighed Joey.
“A feeling I have,” replied Justin. “I can’t explain it but I feel as if I know him from somewhere.”
“I felt the same way when I met him,” informed Chris. “You guys and Lance too. I think that we belong together, that JC and Lance are met to be together. Give it time Joe and you’ll see.”
“I hope you’re right,” sighed Joey as he closed the door behind the two lovers.
