Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce; and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.

The above paragraph is the purpose of Delta Sigma Pi. Please note that we are not all business--we also promote lots of FUN and FRIENDSHIP as well!!

I pledged the Alpha Lambda Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi in Spring 1997. My fellow pledge brothers included: Becky Blair, Chris Butler, Leah Cauley, Megan Davis, Vicky Fang, Jon Jones, Hitesh Kumar, Zebrina Leung, Sylvia Moe, and Tricia Wickard. Now we are all privileged to have been initiated and official Brothers of the Fraternity.

My Big Brother and good friend is Vicki Wan. I'd like to thank her for everything she did for me -- being supportive, giving me rides to Chapter functions, being my friend, helping me study for quizzes and tests, and checking up on me. So, Vicki, if you are reading this, THANK YOU! I don't think I could ever have made it through the pledge process without her. Good luck at Marriott, Vicki! I miss you!

I had a little brother in the Fall of 1997. Her name is Jenn Cassell, and she was in the marching band with me. She is now in Boston and graduated with me in May 2000. I had another little brother during the Fall semester of 1998. His name is Chris Doan, and he just graduated in May 2000 and works for GlaxoSmithKline.

I am an active member of the Central Virginia Alumni chapter of Delta Sigma Pi and am the Past President and Webmaster of our chapter. Check out our site at Central VA Alumni.
