Boris Vallejo
Ever since Frank Frazetta introduced me to the world of fantasy art, the creations of Boris Vallejo only helped in broadening the horizon. Although his style is more fantastically exaggerated, the underlying concepts of Beasts and the Beasts within is captured and executed properly and perfectly. Mr. Vallejo tends to juice up the anatomy of his heroines, but never to the point that they look irregular or lose their sense of feminine physique--they don't look like they feast on a bowl of steriods every morning...they are in every right, perfect for their medium. When looking at a Boris Vallejo painting you sometimes feel as though you've seen the hero somewhere before. That's because Boris Vallejo likes to use himself to model for his portraits. Luckily Boris doesn't look like Lurch. Well, enjoy his masterpieces. |
