Everett Council, NLUS

Website

The Everett Council was organized and chartered December 18, 1969.  Membership is now approximately 250 men and women.  While many members have served in the military, service in the military is not a qualification for becoming a Navy Leaguer.  The objective and purpose of the Navy League is to educate and motivate the American people to support our maritime capabilities, services and personnel.  To this end, members are kept informed by our council newsletter "Puget Sound Horizons" which is printed every other month, the national magazine "Sea Power" which is issued each month and by attending our informative meetings held every other month.

Our general meetings are presently being held on the second Tuesday of every other month at the All American Restaurant (Base Galley) located at Naval Station Everett.  The meetings begin with a fellowship hour beginning at 6:00 pm (1800 hrs.) and we have cocktails and a light repast.  Our meetings begin at 7:00 pm (1900 hrs.) with only minor business discussed (if needed) and we always have an interesting speaker for the occasion.  Meetings are generally over with by 8:00 pm (2000 hrs.).

Our Council Officers and Directors of the Board meet each month (except August) on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm (1800 hrs.) in the CRI Conference Room, Suite C210, Second Floor, Henry Cogswell Building, 2802 Wetmore Ave, Everett WA.  While this is a business meeting, anyone may attend who wishes to do so.

Membership provides an opportunity to participate in numerous events involving the Navy such as ship rides and tours.  The Everett Council also has two main banquets each year, the Navy Ball and an annual awards presentation banquet.  Other events also occur during the year that brings Navy Leaguers together.  We welcome all who wish to join.
