Eddie Van Halen was responsible for updating the rock guitar sound. Eddie developed and showcased a unique array of techniques that have now become commonplace amongst most guitar styles.
He is best known for his two handed tapping and his whammy bar histrionics.
The finest example of his playing came in the now immortal "Eruption", from their first album "Van Halen" released in 1978. |
