!Michael served in the Revolutionary Army 1775-1783 under his stepfather's name of Madden. So when his widow Esther applied for her widow's pension she assumed the name of Madden also. Pension documents give his death date as 20 June 1822. Another source says he died in Monroe Co., New York. !MARRIAGE:Partridgefield, Berkshire, Massachusetts is now Peru.
