My Friend Anneli   
(Classic & Beautiful)

This page can in no way reflect the actual beauty and serenity
of my dear friend Anneli, without whose friendship my life
would be very lacking.

We laugh about the same things.
The things that are important
to me are important to her.
The things that make me angry,
make her angry.
We share the same life's values.
We observe the same values in our other friends.
We share a respect for the helpless creatures of the world.
We listen to the same music.
We like the same foods.
We are so much alike it is uncanny.

I have tried to learn her language, but have learned only bits and pieces,
just enough to make her laugh when I use the wrong words.
She has been a good teacher, yet I have given up on svenska
for the time being..
She is not a quitter, however.
She has learned the English language so well that I tell her
frequently that she speaks it better than many Americans.
And English and Swedish are not her only languages.
She is far and above me in her knowledge of languages.
She gives me inspiration that I can do better.

Anneli resides in Stockholm, though in her heart she cherishes
the beautiful country of Greece.
For reasons that are her own, part of her heart will always remain there.

Anneli truly represents the beautiful things in this world.
When I try to forget the cruel and ugly.side of this life,
I can think of Anneli and know there there are those who make this world
a better place.

I am truly fortunate to have you, Anneli.
Thank you from the depths of my heart for being my friend.
