My Friend Jan
(Friend of All God's Creatures)

I wanted this page to reflect the essence of one of my
dearest friends in the world,
and the image above captures her serenity, calmness and contemplative
nature well.
She does, after all, share a spirit of those
Native Americans with whom she is so closely aligned.

The above painting hangs on a wall in her home
and she tells me this is not a lovely Indian maiden
as I have presumed but is instead "just an old hippie in a canoe".
Regardless, both of us have an appreciation
for the beauty in this picture.

Jan and I share so many of the same views . . .about life,
about the world in general,
but mostly about the innocent creatures that share this planet with us.
This page is dedicated to her and her
generous nature, loving heart, and absolute purity of spirit.

Such a trusted friend so pure of heart
and with strong character
is truly a gift.
Thank you, Jan, for honoring me
with your friendship.
