This is likely the second room I ever did with a few modifications made at a later date. With this one it seemed to just fall into place that it appeared to be a weekend get-away in the mountains. I could imagine that I had gone to the mountains on a fishing trip, got rained out, and came back to this nice dry room to spend the rest of the weekend inside just reading and then going back to town for a dinner at Captain D's.

 This one qualifies more as just a wall rather than a room, but it is certainly rustic, so I decided to put it in the category of Rustic Living Rooms & Dens. I really enjoy making these rough looking old places. They have so much more character and can better tell a story all by themselves than all the bright shiny, clean rooms I put together.  must get busy and make more of these. I feel that old creative bug beginning to bite as I am putting this site together! And there really should be more of this kind of room to display here!

Just look out that window! Doesn't it look foggy and gloomy outside? What a nice time to stay warm inside this cabin with a good little fire on the hearth. The cat is smart enough to know that he doesn't want to go outside on a day like this. See how easily you can set the mood by bringing the outside into your room?
