And
this room is dedicated to Savannah Skye, the
darling little Yorkie belonging to my friend
Jan. Skye has just gone to Rainbow Bridge at
the age of only four. She was one of the most
loveable little furry children in the world
and will be sadly missed by her family and me.
She was the twin sister to my darling little
Libby. My heartfelt sympathy goes to Jan as
she struggles through the days ahead without
her.

This
is the first room I ever put together. At the
time, I was quite pleased with myself for doing
it, but now, I see a few errors. If you are
learning to do interiors, don't give up. Just
keep going and every room you do will be an
education in PSP in itself. Don't remember from
where these tubes came. It's been a long time
ago.
|

|
This
is not the next room I did, but after the first,
it's hard to recall the order in which they
came. These tubes were all made by me except
perhaps the lamps. I like to use my own
tubes in most cases now, but in the beginning
I used just what I could find, very generously
offered by other tubers from their own
websites. Occasionally, I will now use tubes
made by friends of mine, such as Shae-Lynn from
the following link at Colored-Eye
Graphics.
Her site is awesome.

Here
is Petey Howard, the furry child belonging to
good friends, Debbie and Steve Young. Petey
is relaxing on the same sofa as I used in my
first room. The flowers outside, through the
French doors, were from photos of flowers my
sister grew in her back yard that summer.

These
drapes were not the first I had made, but
I had wanted to find a technique of making draperies
for some time, and one day I was experienting
with filters and happened to stumble across
Pool Shadows which makes great curtains. Since
I first made these, I have learned not to bunch
up the folds as much as I did on the right side
here.

|
This
room was one of the first ones made. I called
it Corner Reading. I think I made it during
the days of winter when it seemed inviting to
have a nice, cozy corner in which to snuggle
into a nice comfortable old chair by the fire
with a good book. The photograph behind the
chair is the Navy photo of the father of Steve
Young.
|

|
Now
these draperiess WERE the first
I had made. They were too fixed, too perfect,
too PVC-pipe in appearance. I wanted to make
more realistic draperies, but didn't know how
at this point. I do recall being especially
happy about being able to make the glass-top
table appear to be see-through.

|
This
is the very same room as the one above it. The
upholstery colors and furnishings have
been switched about just a bit. I call this
one Syn's Rug because the rug was made from
a tutorial by Syn at Digital
Desyns.

|
This
one was a lot of fun to make. Somehow cats just
add a nice touch to a room . I didn't have my
angles absolutely perfect here. If you prod
and poke the graphics too much, they become
blurry beyond recovery by sharpening. This is
a good lesson to show that as you make your
rooms, you should try to match the angle of
your furniture as best as possible in the beginning
to the angles of your room structure.

I
called this room Stripes. Take a close look
and see how many different stripes I used here!

|
This
one I named One Tired Cat. The rug is rumpled,
the puzzle on the coffee table is scattered,
the flower vase is tipped over on the floor.
This cat had been busy before taking his nap
atop the table. I made this one long before
my collection of tubes was very extensive. I
had taken the table from an advertisement for
magazines and the top of it was originally full
of fanned-out magazines. You can adapt
almost anything to work for you by using the
clone brush in PSP and a lot of patience.

|
I
try to give each room a little character to
make it interesting. In this one, an unseen
Little League fellow has come home from a big
game with his award plaque, tossed it all on
the living room sofa, shucked his shoes and
was off to the kitchen for lemonade. I like
the structure I achieved in this room. I made
the steps by following a tutorial by Sherry.

|
Looks
like the cat just ran out the door and someone
left their reading to take off after it. Shouldn't
have been inside on such a beautiful spring
day anyhow.
