Proposals come in all different types; business, book, project, venture capital and a myriad of other proposal types. The archetype of the proposal however is basically the same; the "buildup", the "pitch" and the "bring-it-home". This simply means that most proposals will begin with an introduction that explains what's being proposed and why (the buildup). This will usually be followed by all of the "hype" that is designed to make the target want to agree with what's being proposed. This will include; statistics and financial information (if applicable) as well as the actual statement of the terms for the acceptance of the proposal (the pitch). The last installment will provide a brief reiteration of the alleged facts, highlights and benefits of the proposed opportunity and any contact and acceptance specifics more commonly referred to as "closing" (bring-it-home).
Evolution
In this world of dot.coms, the digital proposal has made many eMillionaires. Some are still here others are poorer than before they got their break. However, nobody can deny that the ability to reach virtually the entire world with your proposal is a definite improvement in the area of opportunities. Not every proposal is in need of a Web makeover. It stands to reason if you are desirous of creating a proposal requesting your school to take on the financial burden of paying for apple sauce to accompany every lunch served everyday you may simply hand in a written version and call it quits. Nevertheless, having the digital version available and accessible online or on digital copy is an option that is available and relatively inexpensive.
Advantages
Sometimes certain types of proposals are created in multiple versions or duplicated providing the developer with multiple copies. The expense of doing either of these can make digital proposals an attractive option. There is also the added benefit of using the eBook format (many different formats to choose from) to safely store their often "copyright" protected material in a "theoretically" protected format. ***See eBooks***
