Julianna Margulies

Esquire magazine - November 2001

"We met Julianna at the park. I wanted to photograph her in an isolated part of the park, so I chose this little pond above 96th Street. She liked the area because it was completely secluded and she wasn't familiar with it. She told me she knew my Central Park work; she actually owned a copy of my book Central Park. She made a point of telling me that she'd had some modeling jobs and she didn't like them; she was an actress and didn't like to pose. She didn't like to model, she liked to be. So I let her be, on a rock, with a book."
