The 'bout f**kin time Alley-Cat

This event was held at the Duke on June 2nd 2000. The turn out was
good with 31 official entrants, although 39 riders passed through
the High Timber Street checkpoint. Top prize, taken by Ed of Creative,
was one hundred pounds. Other prizes included cash, champagne,
bike parts, condoms, and a slightly scuffed suit of downhill MTB
body armour (one previous owner, serious injury forces
reluctant sale etc.) The event was filmed by LWT for broadcast in
the late summer. On a sour note, one courier had his Rockhopper
stolen from the railings on the corner of Laystall Street, a not too
rare occurrence at that particular spot - Beware.
