Exeter College Darts

A sad day for us all - not only the recall of Trevor Sinclair but the aftermath of
last night. We lost 7-4, and we played poorly with a few individual exceptions.

It started well with Stevenson wanting to go and see Star Wars so playing singles well and a great doubles performance with myself. 2-0 and most of the Wadham guys turned into twats. Especially the mini colsey who played 1 and the mini-sultoon who played 3. They even tried to evict a battered clifford from the bar!

Locke played poorly at 2 then I could not double for shit after a good leg at
3 to make the score 2-2. Olly Cheng also needed to get away for his trip to
Monaco so played his singles next, and produced a performance even Sleeman would have been ashamed of (highest score 52 - with a bull !!) then played his doubles with Madden. Ian played well but could not quite do enough by himself , with Olly missing the one chance at a double they had.

Madden played his singles next and gave a great performance leaving the other
guy miles away. Next the real disappointment of the night - Fads back from
retirement, playing against a guy called Zulu, threw a solid if not spectacular
leg but had 3 darts at tops. "You could cut the tension with a spear" ... Fads stepped up ... 1st dart ... just misses bull !! - hits 1. Goes low, hits 19, double 10 left. He throws an awful third dart miles away - leg lost, 5-3, all sorts of trouble.

"The Mouth" stepped up next after doing nothing but piss them off all night with
his incessant drivel, an example of which was his ten minute argument with Fads about 2-a-side footy. then played shit to lose 6-3 ... bollocks!

At 8 was Steph a late replacement for Clifford, who was out of practice in the middle of finals. However solid scoring and 1st dart in double 16 meant there was hope at 6-4. Fads and Turner stepped up looking surprisingly confident after their singles performances. The rest is history ...

At least the captain was happy with his two controversal picks with Fads and Olly not winning a leg between them ! ... oh well, at least there's always next year. Plus we can kick their arses down our bar in the league. I hope.
