AGM-45D
Shrike Missile
|
TThe The
Shrike was developed by the Naval Weapons Center at China Lake
back in the late twentieth century. It is an antiradiation missile
designed to home in on hostile antiaircraft radars. It is
currently used by U.S. and Alliance air forces. Its current
incarnation is slowly being phased out, while more modern
Antiradiation Radar missiles are becoming more popular. The
Shrike-45D will remain in play for several more years until the
military stockpile of this weapon is depleted.
